Upland Game Bird Project
** DWU will be releasing 150 plus pheasants in fields 7, 8, and 27 prior to Saturday, December 12, 2009.**
DWU will be repairing the pheasant pens on Saturday, May 30, 2009, starting as early as everyone can be there to beat the heat. Please bring a 6 ft. ladder if you have one. Also gloves and side cutting pliers.
Everyone is welcome at DWU work parties and DWU encourages family participation. This is a great event for children and you don't have to be a DWU member to participate. Be sure to bring your hat, gloves, drinking water, and sun screen. The more people that come to help ensures that we will have a good season.
To get there from Brawley or El Centro take Hwy 111 north to Rutherford Road. Turn west on Rutherford Road and go 1/2 mile. DWU will be releasing additional pheasants in our fields in Niland, CA on either Wednesday, November 26th or Friday, November 28th. This message will be updated by Tuesday, November 25th with the correct release day.
The Field Map can be viewed or printed by selecting things to know and then Field Map. The map is dated 2006 but is current for the 2008/2009 hunting season.
